One-handed positioning
Low weight, high strength
Anatomical flexion and rotation around the MCP joint
150 lb load rating
The Point Digit is a heavy-duty, passive articulating prosthetic finger designed to be both lightweight and strong, using a novel ratcheting mechanism to lock into 11 unique positions of flexion.
Point Designs' prosthetic fingers are designed for patients with finger loss who require a durable device and the ability for one-handed operation and various levels of flexion. The prosthesis is made of titanium and stainless steel, and comes with all necessary hardware for integration into a prosthetic socket.
Our 3D printed prosthetic fingers are made from semi-hollow titanium using a direct metal laser sintering process. This is a modern approach driven by a team of industry experts who stay on the cutting edge of technological innovation. We take pride in being a small business, and we work hard to be the best at what we do. Our team maintains a close relationship with world-renowned academic researchers and clinical teams as we continually advance our prosthetic finger designs.
The main features of the Point Digit include:
To operate the Point Digit, the user positions the finger into one of the 11 locking levels of flexion by pushing the dorsal side against an opposing surface (e.g., table, thigh, etc.). The device locks into place automatically, enabling the individual to perform their desired task.
There are two methods to extend the digit:
We also offer a mounting kit that aligns fingers relative to each other for multiple (up to 4) finger systems. The fingers are ideal for people with near MCP level amputation. Slightly distal (especially if the residual digit range of motion is minimal) and proximal partial hand patients are also good candidates. We see the best outcome when the patient has an intact thumb for opposition.
Accommodates 1-4 finger fittings
Pre-alignment between fingers
Lamination spacers and hardware included
