Point Designs prosthetic fingers have an expected service life of 2-3 years. We validate our prosthetic fingers by cycling them at least 250,000 times, which is roughly equivalent to opening and closing each digit over ~30-45 times each hour.
No, your prosthetic fingers should work fine without lubrication.
We absolutely recommend that you clean your prosthetic fingers. This can be done with soap and water, just water, or any other mild detergent. However if you do clean them, we encourage you to fully dry them before you wear them again.
Yes you can! We just encourage you to dry them fully after getting them wet.
If your socket doesn't fit well, please contact the prosthetist that fit your current prosthesis and have them make adjustments.

While the breaking strength is much higher, we recommend a safe loading limit of 150 lb.

To maintain your prosthetic fingers, we recommend that you wash them with soap and water as needed, or just water. After you wash them, we recommend that you fully dry each finger before using it again.
Each prosthetic finger is 3D printed out of titanium, and assembled with brass and stainless steel components.
