Point Digit

The Point Digit is a heavy-duty, mechanical articulating prosthetic finger designed for all size hands, including children. Using a patented ratcheting mechanism, it locks into 7 to 11 secure positions, allowing independent positioning for reliable grip and one-handed operation throughout the day. For individuals with finger loss at or near the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint, the Point Digit delivers durable function and everyday confidence, whether at work or school, enjoying outdoor activities, or completing daily tasks.

Engineered from titanium and stainless steel, the Point Digit delivers exceptional strength while maintaining a lightweight profile. Each prosthesis is designed for seamless integration into a custom prosthetic socket, helping restore functional grasp without compromising durability.

  • One-handed positioning
  • Low weight, high strength
  • Anatomical flexion and rotation around the MCP joint
  • 150 lb load rating
  • 11 standard sizes (55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, and 105 mm), measured from MCP joint center to fingertip)
  • 7 to 11 locking levels of flexion
  • Fast delivery (2-3 days in most cases)
  • 150 lb (68 kg) load capacity
  • 0.71 oz – 0.99 oz (20 g – 28 g) or 1.1 oz – 1.3 oz (30 g – 36 g) in weight, depending on length
  • Patented ratcheting mechanism enabling unilateral operation with auto spring back
  • Integrated compliant fingertip pads that are touch screen compatible and field replaceable
  • The only prosthetic finger with anatomical rotation about the patient’s metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint

To operate the Point Digit, the user positions the finger into one of the 7 to 11 locking levels of flexion by pushing the dorsal side against an opposing surface (e.g., table, thigh, etc.). The device locks into place automatically, enabling the individual to perform their desired task.

There are two methods to extend the digit:

  1. Press the button on the dorsal side of the finger
  2. Fully flex the finger to engage the auto spring back feature (single-handed use)

We also offer a mounting kit that aligns fingers relative to each other for multiple (up to 4) finger systems. The fingers are ideal for people with near MCP level amputation. Slightly distal (especially if the residual digit range of motion is minimal) and proximal partial hand patients are also good candidates.

Mounting Kit

The Point Digit mounting kit is a separately purchased, required component, in order to align and integrate the Point Digit into a prosthesis and retain the respectively published load rating.

  • Accomodates 1-4 finger fittings
  • Pre-alignment between fingers
  • Lamination spacers and hardware included
  • Breakaway design
